Practitioner flags

• Under Investigation - If the practitioner is linked to an investigation that is Open or Reopened, a flag is displayed.

  

  This flag is removed when the investigation is closed.

• S57 Prohibition Order - If the practitioner has an Active S57 Prohibition Order, a flag is displayed.

  This flag is removed when the S57 Prohibition Order is set to Inactive.

• MATOD Accredited - If the practitioner has an Active MATOD accreditation, a flag is displayed.

  

  This flag is removed when the MATOD accreditation is revoked or expires.

Access High Profile Patient ...

Depending on your user role, you may be allowed to grant this practitioner access to patient profiles who have been flagged as High profile. The same user role also allows you to flag patient profiles as High profile.

• In Provide Access to High Profile Patients, select relevant patients, then Save.

  These patient profiles will be included in the search results for this practitioner.

  

• Remove Access to High profile Patient

View Organisations - Linked organisations display in the Organisations grid.

Postal Address - (Optional) A practitioner can be linked to multiple organisations.

• Indicate which of the addresses provided is the Postal Address. Only one postal address can be flagged.

  The details of the postal address are included in any correspondence addressed to this practitioner in the context of investigations, authorities, enquiries, etc ... Paper-based correspondence is sent to the postal address.

View this practitioner's current and past authorities.

The authorities are sorted in reverse chronological order. By default, the Date Range filter is set to 90 days.

Once the investigation is saved, a success message is displayed in the Patient profile.

Your Investigations has been created successfully.

The newly saved investigation is added to the Investigations grid (10 per page).

Create Enquiry

You are re-directed to a blank Investigations page.

Once the enquiry is saved, a success message is displayed in the profile.

Your Enquiry has been created successfully.

The newly saved entry is added to the Investigations grid (10 per page).

Add Medicine

1. From Monitored Medicines List, search a Medicine Group.
2. To refine the list, do one of the following:
   • Enter a medicine name (generic or brand), then search .

     — or —

     Apply additional filters to each column header.

   

   For each line item, the Monitored Medicine List, displays the Generic name, Brand name, Strength, AMT code(s) for the medicinal product (MP), PBS code (when applicable), and the Unit of Measure (UoM).

   Once medicines have been selected, the function Add S57 Prohibition Order is enabled.

3. Select Add to S57 Prohibition Order and return to S57 Prohibition Orders details.
4. Ensure a start date (mandatory) has been entered and select the Administrative action type.
5. (If required) Use to remove some line entries.
6. Save your changes.

   The new S57 Prohibition Order is saved in the grid with its Status set to Active.

   Your Practitioner Profile has been updated successfully.

   A practitioner can only have one Active S57 Prohibition Order. If you attempt to create a new Prohibition Order while another is Active, the Save function is disabled.

   This function is also disabled if a new Prohibition Order is created with dates that overlap with an Active entry.

   The date range of this S57 prohibition order overlaps with other prohibition orders for this practitioner.

View Task

Related tasks display (10 per page) in reverse chronological order in the grid.

• (If required) Apply additional filters to each column header.
• (if required) Select any column header to sort.

Create Task

When the logged in user has the Regulator role, the Create task screen displays with Status set to Open (by default).

• Priority - (Optional) Low, Medium, High

• Status - (Mandatory) Open or Closed

• Assigned to - (Mandatory) Select the relevant user role.

  All tasks assigned to your user role display on the Tasks Dashboard.

• Due Date - (Mandatory) Must be a future date.

• Date Created - (Read-only) Today's date

• Administrative task type - Select from the list.

• Regulatory task type - Select from the list.

• Notes - 1000 characters max.

When all the mandatory fields have been completed, Save is enabled.

The task is visible on the Dashboard screen to users with the relevant role.

View Correspondence (in grid)

All correspondence is displayed in the grid in reverse chronological order.

• Open - Select the Filename to open the attached document (and download it).

• Edit - Select Edit to modify the document details displayed in the grid.

• Delete - Select Delete to remove the document from the grid. This only applies to uploaded documents.

  

Your document has been deleted successfully.

• Date of document - Date the document was created or obtained by the user.

• Document type - Select from the list.

• Source

  • Inbound - Received by DDU (Default).

  • Outbound - Initiated by DDU.

• Sender/Recipient - Either the person or organisation who provided the document, or for whose benefit the document was uploaded.

• Sensitive - By default, all uploaded documents are flagged as Sensitive. Practitioners cannot view this document in the Practitioner portal, unless the flag is removed.

  Correspondence attached to an organisation cannot be viewed or accessed by practitioners.

• Choose file - Select a single file to be uploaded. Max size is 4 MB.

• Drop file here - Drag-and-drop a file to be uploaded.

• Upload - The document is uploaded to ScriptCheckSA.

  Your document has been successfully uploaded.

  If the document's file type is not allowed, or if malware is detected, the upload is not permitted.

  The document selected is not a permitted file type.

  The document selected did not pass the malware scan and has been rejected.

• Cancel - The document is not uploaded.

Edit document details

Select Edit to modify the document details displayed in the grid.

If the document was uploaded, all Document Details can be edited.

If the document was generated by ScriptCheckSA, you can only modify two entries.

• Document status: To be reviewed, In review, Review completed

• Sensitive: Remove this flag if you want the document to be displayed in the Practitioner portal.

Create letter

General Correspondence

1. Enter a subject, the job title of the signatory and the text of the letter,

   

2. Generate the letter.

   Your letter has been generated successfully.

The letter is saved in the Correspondence grid with the Filename set to General Correspondence.

The generated letter uses branded stationery for DDU.

The practitioner and organisation details are automatically inserted. The subject, signatory and body of the letter are sourced from the text entered in Create letter.

Unauthorised Treatment letter

1. Search for the patient.

   The name and date of birth of the selected patient will be included in the letter. The patient must have a regulatory profile.

2. Generate the letter.

   Your letter has been generated successfully.

   The letter is generated on branded stationery and saved in the Correspondence grid.

   The details of the practitioner and the postal address of their linked organisation are automatically inserted.

S57 Prohibition Order Letter

1. Search for the practitioner.

   

2. Enter the letter details, as required:

   • Title - Mandatory

   • Delegate's First name, Last name and Title (Mandatory) - The person who has legal authority to create the order. For example, Manager of the Drugs of Dependence Unit or the Chief Executive of the Department for Health and Wellbeing.

   • Prescriber's date of birth - Mandatory

3. Generate the letter.

   Your letter has been generated successfully.

   The letter is generated on branded stationery and saved in the Correspondence grid.

Revocation of S57 Prohibition Letter

1. From the Correspondence menu, select Create Revocation of S57 Prohibition Order Letter.

   

2. Enter the letter details, as required:

   • Title - Mandatory

   • Delegate's First name, Last name and Title (Mandatory) - The person who has legal authority to create the order. For example, the manager of the Dangerous Drugs Unit.

   • Prescriber's date of birth - Mandatory

3. Generate the letter.

   Your letter has been generated successfully.

   The letter is generated on branded stationery and saved in the Correspondence grid with the required metadata.
